Something Weird

Here's a photo of my progress....should be finished real soon.

Part 7 ( roughly 7 hours invested so far). I've covered about 50% of the drawing surface but most of the difficult elements are done! The rest is basically fluffy clouds and small details. I estimate about 3 more hours to completion.

I have been extremely busy as of late! I have started a new ( and different) drawing today. I will explain more about it later when it starts to develop. This is just a small portion of a much larger drawing with lots of characters featured.
This little section is only 2 inches by 3 inches in size....the whole drawing will be 11" x 14" If I ever complete it.
- 2B pencil
- Strathmore 300 series smooth bristol

I think I know what its going to be!;) But I don't want to spoil!
It looks already pretty cool, I can't wait to see it done!!!!!!!=)

I also like your last picture! She looks really cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!:3

Something that bothers me on your blog are words like: "X Lonely comments"! C'mon! You got way more comments on your last post than I got since a while and lots of other artists don't get any here!

I know how you feel, and you deserve billions of comments!
But the blogger world is hard! Only well known people or people that know famous people get lots of comments, doesn't matter how "good" they are! Sad but true!:(
And blogs are different than DA! In DA you find more people that share the same interests like you so the number of the comments are way higher than here. I get there way more comments on ONE picture than I ever got here on more than three pictures! But comments doesn't make an artist to a better artist!;) I do artwork the most time for ME!

thanks for stopping over and leaving a comment! I do get a lot of people asking for techniques, and all I can say is that I can barely explain it. Like anything it is practice. I draw as well and I can see the amount of time it takes to make a good drawing, I admire your work here! Very beautiful!

Thanks again, and continue with your passions!

Thank You Steve, I'm happy that you are enjoying this. It's a real fun drawing originally done by Disney artist Chris Sanders ( creator of Lilo & Stitch). I acquired his permission first before starting this drawing! He said "Sure, sounds great" and he wants to see the final drawing!

It looks great. I knew I had seen the drawing somewhere before, that's cool that you got Chris Sanders permission.
The shine on the octopies head looks slimy, impressive from just graphite.
